Below are several books that have been helpful to us in our church, and we know they would help you too. We do not agree with everything in each book, but there are Biblical principles that you can gain from each one. There is, however, one book that we agree with 100%, the Bible. That tops our list. If you have never read it, start there!
The Holy Bibleby God
The Bible remains to be the all-time best seller. It will be a discerner of the thoughts and intents of your heart.
The Peace Makerby Ken Sande
This book presents a practical theology for conflict resolution. You will learn how to become a peace maker, not a peace faker or a peace breaker. This book applies to anyone who has been in a conflict, is currently in one, or someday will be.
War of WordsBy Paul David Tripp
We live in a world of words. We use them everyday. The book is designed to get to the heart of our communication struggles so that the words we speak will bring glory to our God.
Don't Waste Your Lifeby John Piper
This thought-provoking book will help you understand the empty philosophies of the world that waste our lives and give you a practical way to find true fulfillment in glorifying God and enjoying Him forever.
The Treasure Principleby Randy Alcorn
"Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also." This book will help you to identify what or who your heart truly treasures.
Every Man's Battleby Stephen Arterburn and Fred Stoeker
Sensual temptations are rampant everywhere you look. This book teaches you how you can control your thoughts and eyes to escape the devastating effects of sexual immorality.
One Thing You Can't Do in Heavenby Mark Cahill
Heaven is truly a wonderful place, but while we are there, we will no longer be able to share the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ with a lost and dying world. This book will give you Biblical insights on how to be a better for Jesus Christ with our days here on earth.
